About

Things Found in Transit was created to ignite your soul and inspire your journey. However, the type of transit I will describe doesn’t necessarily require a car, bus, train, or even a plane. As you will learn, the mode of transportation isn’t as important as the journey.

The definition of Transit is the passage of a celestial body across the meridian of a place. Said in another way, Transit is an act of passing through or across a place.  Whether you are exploring a village in another country or adapting to a new place in life, you are always in transit. Without transit, time would stand still which is why I want to encourage you to get lost in transit in order to find your freedom.

I, like many do multiple times in life, found myself in transit, yet again. The year prior, I had told myself I wanted to settle down, get married, and have a baby.  I told myself I was sick of working and was ready to surrender to a simpler life. I told myself that my mate was good that maybe this was it and it was supposed to be this hard.   I told myself all these things, the truth was, I had lied. After a death, personal litigation, a breakup and a never-ending series of ugly events came to a halt  I patiently waited for the tears, the upset, and the regret to set in. During this period, “How are you doing?” quickly became my most dreaded question. Not because, I wasn’t well but because I was. I wondered what was wrong with me. Why didn’t I feel worse? Had I become numb to feelings and emotions? Instead of asking others for advice, I began seeking answers from within. In order to nurture this new, found growth, I decided to take a trip. Well, quite a few actually.  It wasn’t until I lost myself in transit that I truly found what I was looking for, freedom.

If you don’t know what you are looking for, it’s okay. I am writing this entry as I am completing my 6th flight. When I land I will get off the plane in London which will bring me one step closer to literally flying around the world in 14 days. From Phoenix, to LAX, to Taipei, to Bangkok, to Dubai, to Larnaca, to London and then to Phoenix. Don’t worry, transit often takes time.
